Stages to become a CS

OPTION 1:

The student who would like to join the Course after 10+2 pass / Graduation / Post Graduation from any stream except Fine Arts has to undergo three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course i.e.

  • CSEET
  • Executive Programme and
  • Professional Programme

OPTION 2:

The Student who would like to join theCourse after passing CA/CMA finalhas to undergo two stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course (can apply for CSEET exemption) i.e.

  • Executive Programme and
  • Professional Programme

NOTE:

  • Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test(CSEET) can be pursued by 10+2 pass/ Graduate / Post Graduatestudents of Arts, Science or Commerce stream (Excluding Fine Arts). The Institute has stipulated examination 04 times in a financial year for CSEETaspirants. Students, who have not passed the CSEET Examination within the validity period of their registration/examination, may seek fresh registration online.
  • Executive Programme (EP) can be pursued by a student who passed CA/CMA final exam or cleared CSEET.
  • Professional Programme (PP)can be pursued only after clearing the Executive Programme of CS Course.

MODIFIED TRAINING STRUCTURE FOR THE STUDENTS OF COMPANY SECRETARYSHIP COURSE EFFECTIVE FROM 2020:

The Council, with the approval of Central Government and after following the due process, is publishing a Notification in the Gazette of India. The Notification has amended the Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982 to modify the training structure for the students of Company Secretaryship course.

Components of Training New Training Structure
One day Orientation Programme (ODP) Within 15 days of CSEP registration
Executive Development Programme (EDP) After passing CSEP
Long Terms Internship/Article ship 21 Months after completing EDP
Corporate Leadership Development Programme (CLDP) After passing CSPP& completing Article ship

CSEET 4 papers (w.e.f. 01.04.2020)
CS Executive Programme 8 papers divided into 2 Modules (w.e.f. 01.03.2018)
CS Professional   Programme 9 papers divided into 3  Modules (w.e.f. 01.09.2018)
